Viva Las Vegas!

I’m off to Vegas for 3 days. I should return on Tuesday if all goes well. I’ve never been so it should be a fun trip. I hope to see as many older locations as I can while I’m there since old Las Vegas seems to be disappearing at a rapid rate.

Hey Kimberly, I hope you have a fabulous time in Vegas. I’m sure you will. My bro got married there last year. I’ve actually never been myself. I’ve always wanted to though. I guess the Vegas I would want to see will have passed on by then. I remember hearing James Caan talk about how awesome Vegas was in the 60’s and 70’s. Now the corporate types have moved in and have made it over into their type of city. It’s a real shame though. Have a swingin’ fun time there.

    Hey Kimberly,
Have a fantastic time in Vegas. I hope to be able to go someday myself as I have never been either. Have a safe and fun trip and hopefully you’ll find some stuff that made Vegas so great back in the day still around.

Thanks for the nice comments guys! Vegas was a bit of a bust and I had a hard time finding any signs of old Vegas anywhere. The food was fantastic though, even if it was really overpriced. 😉

I am a film student and bar manager. I work at 60’s era resort in Downtown/Art’s district in Las vegas. Any advice or personal interest you could offer in putting on a 60-70’s film fest would be greatly appreciated. The Aruba Hotel and spa is 90 room hotel with a 350 capacity showroom in back, a 250 capacity Lounge in front, and several other smaller spaces throughout the property that could make ideal viewing areas. We have a pool with a tiki bar where we could also hold screenings.
Let me know if you or someone you know is interested in doing something like this.
