Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush (1967)

I recently watched Clive Donner’s teenage sex farce Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush (1967) for the first time. Soon afterward I learned that the director had died at age 84 so in tribute to Donner I decided to write about the film for TCM this week. I really enjoyed Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush and had so much fun taking screen grabs from the movie that I created a small gallery for them over at Flickr. If you’d like to read my piece about Clive Donner’s film you’ll find it at the Movie Morlocks Blog.

  1. I love Angela Scoular in this movie; my all-time favorite mod girl. Tremendous sass and style but with a very cool, slightly kooky edge.

  2. Angela Scoular was terrific in this! I really liked her and thought she was the most interesting of all the girls in the movie. She was almost a British version of Edie Sedgwick. Very sassy, cute and fun but underneath it all you knew she was one smart girl.

  3. I was looking up info on one of my fav actors Alain Delon & saw “Mulberry Bush” listed. This happens to be one of my favorite movies. Found the original paperback book, & the album in 1981, then in the late 90′s the music cd came out, I was thrilled! I had been a big Barry Evans fan since Doctor in the House in the 70′s, what a cutie. He looks alot like my ultimate favorite actor Peter Duel from the show Alias Smith & Jones, too bad they are both deceased. That makes me so sad, but at least we have the films & soundtracks to remember. Thanks Kim for a marvelous website.
